Will Rahul Lead India?

It might not come as a surprise to one if Congress goes to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with a declared PM candidate. AICC’s (All India Congress Committee) is no more a surprise. It’s probably of the obvious fact that a party cannot fight for the elections without zeroing on a face. Mr. Gandhi’s recent determination about passing Lokpal Bill has added another feather to his cap. The election which lies ahead seems quite promising for the congress party. Working with like minded people and resolving issues which lies ahead of them might bring back their lost glory.



There are several factors which have forced the party to think about leadership issue. Battling through the issues in difficult situations might make Mr. Gandhi a strong candidate against the party’s rivals. The party is confident of the fact that their decision to bring Mr. Gandhi forward will be fruitful in future. They also see this as an opportunity and an added advantage over the BJP party and Mr. Modi. So this might affect the Modi led government.

Extrapolating Rahul as a PM candidate is no more a secret now. The opposition party might criticize over the decision taken by the Congress party, but as of now it seems that Congress’s’ decision is unalterable. "As far as the prime ministerial candidate is concerned, it has to be decided by him (Rahul), the Congress president and party leaders after due deliberations.” Congress general secretary Janardan

Dwivedi said.

The results of the recently held assembly elections quite aptly indicates that Congress have a mounting job to tackle. Even though one might praise Mr.Gandhi for his determination towards progress of the nation in recent times but Mr. Gandhi is not quite ready for the huge responsibility that lies ahead of him. But the party is quite sure of the fact that he is the one. Whether Rahul will follow Dr. Manmohan Mohan Singh’s shadow or not is something worth looking forward to.
